King Faisal University Launches the Website for the 3rd International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability and Opens the Door for Scientific Participation

His Excellency the President of King Faisal University, Prof. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zenadah, launched on 12 May 2026 the official website of the 3rd International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability, to be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, from 16-18 November 2026, enabling researchers and participants to register and submit scientific papers and research abstracts for participation in the conference.

The University President expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the Governor of the Eastern Province for scientific and research initiatives, noting that the conference continues to strengthen its position as a leading international scientific platform dedicated to shaping the future of sustainable food systems and advancing environmental sustainability.

He emphasized that these fields represent key academic and research priorities within the University's institutional identity, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's environmental initiatives, particularly the Saudi Green Initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability, reducing emissions, and expanding sustainable and clean energy solutions.

This year's conference is centered on two main themes addressing current challenges and future directions in food security and environmental sustainability. The first theme, "Artificial Intelligence in Food Security," focuses on technologies that enhance food production efficiency, supply chains, and resource management, while the second, "Environmental Sustainability and Carbon Sequestration," explores practices and technologies that support sustainability, mitigate climate impacts, and advance the global transition toward a green economy.

The conference is expected to bring together researchers, experts, and specialists from universities and research institutions locally and internationally, fostering scientific dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge and innovative practices. The conference website provides access to registration, paper submission, conference themes, and related activities.
